Dr. John P. Gusha

Dr. Gusha was born and raised in Holden, MA. He is a 1975 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. He earned a BA in Natural Science from Assumption College, a BS in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry.

Dr. Gusha has been practicing dentistry in Holden for 38 years. Dr. Gusha strives to provide his patients with the highest quality general dental care for all ages.

Dr. Gusha is an active member of The Worcester District Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, The Central New England Dental Study Group, The American Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Gusha served as chairman of the Board of Health in Holden for 10 years. He championed water fluoridation for the Town of Holden water supply and also prohibition of second hand smoke in public places. He was the past president of the Worcester District Dental Society. Dr. Gusha served on the Board of Directors for Dental Services of Massachusetts and also served as the Chairman and Project Director for the Central Mass Oral Health Initiative to improve access to dental care for low income individuals in Worcester County.

Dr. Gusha is also a 2003 recipient of the Robert Wood Johnson Community Health Leadership Award. He is one of 10 honorees nationwide for his exceptional and effective approach to addressing the myriad health-care challenges facing people in communities across the United States. “It is the nation’s highest honor for community health leadership.”

In his spare time, Dr. Gusha likes to do woodwork and spend time with his family.

Dr. Gusha resides in Holden with his wife, Cathy. They have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.
